Visitors to the Shed

In July 2019 we were visited the State opposition leader and local member Ms Rebecca White. Rebecca inspected the Sheds working areas and was shown some of the projects that members are undertaking. After a good squiz at the shed Rebecca discussed with members present matters that are of importance to the shed and has undertaken to seek information from the State Government about those issues. Thanks for taking the time Rebecca and your efforts on our behalf.

Talking to members Ray Turner and Robert Cleaver on their project.

From the Secretary

Another shed year come and gone, the past year saw quite a few visiting politicians from State and Federal arenas.

The shed has been very fortunate to have so much support from our elected leaders. The Commitment by the State Government for some funding towards a new shed was most welcome.

As the shed looks to its future, a new site is of paramount importance and the Sorell Council is working hard on our behalf for a new site here in Sorell. We are hoping that there may be an announcement in the not to distant that will be of a very positive note.

That will be when the shed will truly become aware of the work load creating a new shed incurs.

Some of the Politicians to visit in the last year include,

Federal Liberal:  Senator Jonathon Duniam.

State Liberal members: Rene Hidding, Guy Barnett, Will Hodgeman, Sarah Courtney, Jaquie Petrusma and Mark Shelton.

Federal Labor: Brian Mitchell MP.

State Labor members: Rebecca  White MP

Still work to be done, if you would like to be a part of our shed, please call in, give us a ring or email will get us too.

Cheers for now
